Production Process

A: These are different units measuring proteolytic activity against different substrates (gelatin vs. casein). 2400 GDU/g is approximately equal to or greater than 1500 MCU/mg. It is crucial to know which unit your formula or specification requires. We test and certify both.

Q2: Is bromelain destroyed by stomach acid?
A: For digestive aid purposes, it acts in the stomach. For systemic (whole-body) benefits, it requires enteric coating to survive stomach acid and be released in the intestines for absorption.

Q3: Can bromelain be used in gummies or hot beverages?
