Shanghai, June 17, 2026 - During CPHI China 2026, the 19th Natural Extracts Innovation & Development Forum, hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines and Health Products (CCCMHPIE), brought together global industry leaders to chart the future of the botanical extracts trade. A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of the first group of companies to successfully pass the conformity assessment for the newly released Good Extraction Practice (GEP) Standard for Botanical Extracts. Among them, Chongqing Joywin Natural Products Co., Ltd. was formally recognized and awarded the official certificate - a milestone endorsement of the company's manufacturing excellence and quality management system.

A Forum Focused on Global Trust and Market Access

This year's forum centered on some of the most pressing issues shaping the industry today: the evolving China–U.S. trade landscape, global regulatory compliance, and the integrity of international supply chains.

CCCMHPIE announced a deepening partnership with the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA) of the United States, positioning the mutually recognized GEP standard as a bridge for premium Chinese ingredients to enter high-value international supply networks with greater transparency and trust.

Daniel Mabey, President of UNPA Asia, encouraged Chinese suppliers to build comprehensive raw-material quality dossiers and leverage compliance hubs to streamline cross-border trade efficiency.

Industry Outlook: Opportunity Beyond Tariff Pressure

Offering a macro perspective on the sector, Mr. Zhang Chengwen - Chairman of Chongqing Joywin, Chairman of the Botanical Extracts Branch of CCCMHPIE, and President of the Shaanxi Botanical Extracts Industry Association - shared his outlook on how U.S. tariff policies are reshaping the global botanical extracts landscape.

Despite persistent tariff headwinds, Mr. Zhang noted that U.S. demand remains robust across several fast-growing categories:

* Natural colorants

* Sodium-reduction and salt-replacement solutions

* Cognitive and brain-health ingredients

* Sports nutrition

He highlighted a particularly striking shift driven by the widespread adoption of GLP-1 weight-loss medications, which is fueling explosive growth in sports nutrition products designed to preserve lean muscle mass and support easy digestion. This emerging trend, he emphasized, opens a significant new window of opportunity for botanical extract companies with strong technical depth and innovation capabilities.

Joywin: Setting a New Benchmark in Quality and Global Readiness

As one of the first certified companies under the GEP framework, Chongqing Joywin has spent more than a decade building its reputation on the principles of "Natural, Safe, and Effective."

Achieving GEP conformity is more than a compliance milestone - it represents:

* Authoritative recognition of Joywin's production discipline and quality control rigor;

* A quality foundation trusted on both sides of the Pacific, aligned with the emerging China–U.S. mutual recognition framework;

* A strategic gateway for engaging premium international clients and expanding across global markets.
